Learning and Attentional Disorders Society of WA (LADS)
About LADS
The Learning and Attentional Disorders Society of WA (LADS) is a support, information and advocacy agency for people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and associated conditions.
Vision and Mission
The Mission of LADS is to provide support, advocacy and accurate information to individuals, parents, families and all people affected by ADHD and associated conditions, to advocate on their behalf and to work in partnership with others to ensure appropriate services are available.
Our multi-disciplinary Professional Advisory Board ensures that all information provided by LADS is research-based.
LADS offers the following ongoing support:
Coffee Mornings for parents and carers are held on the first Wednesday of the month (during school terms), from 9:30am to 11:30am. Facilitated by a counsellor, these gatherings are a great opportunity for parents of children with ADHD to meet and support each other, and to learn strategies to make life a little easier.
Adult Support Group meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. There is a guest speaker every third month. These provide a wonderful opportunity to meet other people experiencing similar difficulties and gather information about ADHD in adults.
Telephone Help-line operates Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Members of the public are invited to phone and discuss their needs with a trained volunteer.
Drop-in Centre and Library: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
Workshops, Seminars and Conferences are organised on a regular basis.
