The Billings method is a contraceptive method which is also called the ovulation method. To use this method a woman monitors the texture, colour and extent of her cervical mucus secretions, in order to determine when she is and is not fertile. She then abstains from sex or uses another form of contraception in the fertile period, to avoid becoming pregnant.
