| Anti D immunoglobulin works by rapidly destroying any blood cells from your baby, that have entered your circulation before you can make any antibodies. It is important to administer Anti D immunoglobulin in all cases of abortion if the mother is RhD negative, to prevent formation of antibodies, which causes a whole range of possible complications in future pregnancies. |
