Focal Hyperhidrosis
Focal hyperhidrosis is a condition characterised by excessive sweating at particular body sites, usually the armpits (axillary hyperhidrosis), hands (palmar hyperhidrosis), feet (plantar hyperhidrosis) and/or face (craniofacial hyperhidrosis). In some cases, two body sites will be affected, for example the hands and armpits (palmar–axillary hyperhidrosis). Unlike normal sweating, the sweating that characterises focal hyperhidrosis does not occur in response to heat stimuli.
