Indication of Naprogesic:

Naproxen is used to relieve pain and inflammation in -Rheumatoid arthritis-Osteoarthritis-Ankylosing spondylitis-Juvenile rheumatoid arthritisIt is also used in the treatment of -Period pain-Certain types of abnormal vaginal-bleeding -Migraine

Action of Naprogesic:

Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). NSAIDs relieve pain and inflammation by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which have an important involvement in the production of inflammation, pain and fever in the body

Dose advice of Naprogesic:

The usual dose is 250–500 mg given twice daily.The maximum recommended daily dose is 1250 mg.Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis10–15 mg/kg daily in 2 divided doses.DysmenorrhoeaThe initial recommended dose is 500 mgThis is followed by 250 mg every 6–8 hours as required.MigraineThe initial recommended dose is 750 mg initiallyThis is followed an additional 250–500 mg after a time period of at least 1 hour if required.
