Action of Karvezide:

Karvezide contains two ingredients that work together to help lower high blood pressure:
  • Irbesartan controls your blood pressure, by preventing blood vessels from tightening thus reducing your blood pressure.
  • Hydrochlorothiazide controls your blood pressure by increasing your urine volume, which also aids in lowering blood pressure.

Dose Advice of Karvezide:

Karvezide is only available via prescription from your doctor, and can be taken with or without food.

It should be taken at the same time each day (preferably in the morning) in order to obtain its best effect and to help you remember to take it.

It does not cure high blood pressure, therefore it is important to continue taking it until your doctor tells you to stop.

While on this medication it is important not to take any supplements containing potassium unless advised by your doctor.

The medication may make you feel dizzy, especially if you stand up too quickly. If you suffer from this, get up gradually to avoid the dizzyness and sit down or lie down until effects pass.
