    Action of Indocid:

Indomethacin inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins which are involved in pain, inflammation and fever. By inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis indomethacin is effective in relieving pain, swelling and other symptoms and signs of inflammation.

Although indomethacin will relieve symptoms it will not alter the course of the underlying disease.
